Baby Beats was born from one magical moment — the first time Liliana heard her baby’s heartbeat at an ultrasound scan, and knew she had to find a way to keep that sound forever.

Babies are among life’s greatest gifts, and Liliana was blessed with four — three boys and one girl. They not only changed her life, but opened her to a wonderful world of baby keepsakes. Her journey began in November 2008, when she welcomed her first healthy baby boy.
From the moment she discovered she was pregnant, it was almost instinctual to absorb and preserve every precious moment. One of the most memorable highlights was attending her ultrasound and hearing that heartbeat for the first time.
“The anticipation and sheer joy of hearing that first ‘swoosh, swoosh’ was one of the most magical moments of my life. I knew I had to find a way to capture it forever.”
The idea for Baby Beats was ignited by a little boy named Jai — a three-year-old diagnosed with high-risk Neuroblastoma. Motivated by his situation, Liliana began fundraising to support his family. As their friendship deepened, she wanted to give Jai’s mother something truly special — a cuddly bear that played back her son’s heartbeat.
After searching for an existing product to give as a gift, Liliana discovered an untapped market. The recordable stuffed animals she found didn’t meet her standards for quality or design. There were no contemporary, stylish options for modern parents wanting to capture these precious moments.
That realisation sparked Baby Beats. She set out to create her own line of heartbeat animals, ensuring every expectant mother would have access to a keepsake worthy of the moment.
Baby Beats launched in 2017 after Liliana identified a clear gap in the Australian market. All Baby Beats products are manufactured to her own designs and packaged here in Australia. She is deeply passionate about quality — both the product experience and the customer experience that surrounds it.
What started as a dream became possible through the love and support of her incredible husband and four beautiful children. And she has only one regret: “I wish I had started this sooner.”
